The online platform for antiques bringing together interior professionals and vintage enthusiasts under one “roof”
What is the Interior?
Vinterior is an online platform for users to buy and sell vintage and antique furniture, lighting, art objects, textiles, etc.
It brings together interior professionals and vintage enthusiasts under one “roof” with a community of over 1,800 independent furniture dealers around the world. There are over 25 styles to choose from, ranging from Bauhaus to Boho and pieces to suit all budgets.
How did the idea come about?
Co-founders Sandrine Zhang Ferron and Leslie Fournier founded Vinterior in 2016 after experiencing firsthand the long and frustrating struggle of trying to find unique, characterful and sustainable design for their homes.
Their vision was to create a welcoming and organized marketplace that opens up the vintage market to a large digital audience. Sandrine therefore quit her job in finance, learned to code and joined forces with Leslie to launch the platform.
What has been the reaction of consumers?
Since its launch, Vinterior has grown from a dozen dealers in London to over 1,800 sellers in more than 30 countries, who have sold over $ 200 million in vintage and antiques during the year. elapsed. The company has seen 120% year-over-year revenue growth and has been acquiring buyers profitably for over a year. Vinterior is extremely popular with buyers and sellers: the company is rated “excellent” on Trustpilot, with a score of 4.6 and an NPS seller score of 60.
What does the company have in store for this year?
The London-based company has just raised £ 8million in a funding round led by growth investor Active Partners. The investment will be used to drive international growth and product innovation, strengthen the Vinterior team (currently 43 employees) and bring sustainable, vintage and antique interior design to consumers across Europe.
