CASPER, Wyo. – I recently heard about a company here in town that offers a full body makeover in one place. This interesting business is unlike anything else in Casper.

Art can take many different forms, especially when it comes to the human body. When I say body art I’m sure most people only think of tattoos. However, have you considered hair and nails to be art too? What about massage therapy?

Art is described by the Merriam Webster Dictionary as “a skill acquired through experience, study or observation“, and the Parlor tattoo and beauty salon is the only place in town that offers this unique body art experience.

The tattoo and beauty salon shop is a small business open since July 2020. Owner Anthony Duran started the business with the vision of creating a place where art thrives. As a result, they have the normal aspects of a tattoo parlor while having a full salon and massage therapist.

Duran has been a tattoo artist for ten years. He worked at Final Thoughts before starting his own business. He brought a lot of his clients with him and was able to grow.

The store is located at 2121 East Second St. When Duran first moved in, he noticed there was plenty of space. He knew the tattoo couldn’t fill everything, and he wanted to expand the business to include more. To do this, he found partners in Casey Chapman to run the beauty salon and Bryn McKenzie to practice massage therapy.

Chapman has been a cosmetologist for ten years. She worked in a salon and even owned her own business. Now she does her hair and nails in the same place as tattoo artists and she loves it. She says: “It’s a nice change of scenery, going from working with hairdressers to working with other artists.”

McKenzie has been a registered massage therapist for ten years. Duran was her tattoo artist and one day he asked her if she would like to join him in making this unique idea a reality. She also follows apprenticeship training in the field of tattooing.

Duran has a total of three tattoo artists in his store – and, of course, one in training. According to Nelly Brown, the goal was to create a chic and friendly tattoo place for all ages and genders. They didn’t want it to look like your typical biker tattoo parlor; they wanted a different aesthetic.

Everyone in the salon works together to make it a truly different experience, whatever service you are looking for. While you might not want to take advantage of all the services in just one day, there is still a one-stop-shop for all of your beauty, body art, and strength training needs.
