Schapelle Corby’s secret tattoo: “I didn’t tell this story to anyone”
It wasn’t until Schapelle came across a particularly eye-catching piece while scrolling the internet, that she decided to take the plunge and enter a tattoo parlor.
“I was so obsessed with it [and] I knew at first glance that I needed this piece tattooed on my body, âSchapelle recalls.
Fully aware of the awesome ink that some can encounter, Schapelle says that beauty, especially with art, is always in the eye of the beholder.
âI’m sure some will see this art as somewhat of the dark side. Nasty, violent or evil, but it’s certainly nothing of the sort, âshe explains. âFor me, she is my tutor. It is my guardian who protects me against evil. I feel very comfortable and at ease knowing that she is with me. In a way, she supports me.
Indeed, protection is something that Schapelle has often deprived of. Over the years, she has remained honest and open about the physical and psychological challenges she faced during her time in the infamous Kerobokan Prison in Bali.
So far, Schapelle has remained silent about her striking tattoo and worked hard to hide it from the world. It’s quite remarkable that she did it too, when you take into account her role of emotional confrontation on the juggernaut of reality, SAS Australia, and the revealing costumes she wore during her visit to Dance with the stars: all the stars This year.
âUntil then, I never felt ready to share this story or my body,â Schapelle says, hinting that after years of turmoil, she is finally entering a very welcome new phase in her life.
âIn recent months, I have become much more satisfied with myself and my environment,â she reveals. âI felt I had to keep it a secret, so I always wore things to cover it up, but not anymore,â she says.
As another year draws to a close, Schapelle looks forward to new opportunities and new starts.
With her Guardian Angel on her back, it’s clear that she’s ready to take on anything that comes her way.
