Road Trip Antiques expert stunned as item sells for four times its value in shock sale

ANTIQUES pundits Steven Moore and Natasha Raskin Sharp were shocked when she sold one of her items for a huge profit.
Natasha sold a pair of avocado napkin rings for four times the price she bought them for at a store on the Antiques Road Trip TV show.

Steven and Natasha were traveling through North Yorkshire and Tyne and Wear on the recent episode of the BBC program.
Natasha’s search for antiques saw a collection of ceramics in an antique store grab her attention.
But it was two small ceramic avocados that served as napkin holders that really caught his eye.
Natasha said: “I feel there is something sticking out on this table. The lawyers here, they are screaming Carlton Wear from Stoke on Trent.”

Carlton Ware was a Stoke-on-Trent-based pottery maker known for his often garish tableware.
Enough with the towel rails, Natasha added, “They’re obviously pretty ironic.
“The little avocado has a bit of a red nose and flushed cheeks.
“He gets heated in the argument of the debate. He opposes it, but I don’t think I am opposed to their style.”
She exclaimed, “I like these,” before starting to speculate on the age of antiques.
She asked, “How old? Not very, well under 100, probably around 60 or so. They are in the middle of the twentieth century. “
Natasha was told by the sales clerk that the napkin rings cost £ 10 each and that she looked thoughtful before jumping inside, saying, “Okay, let’s do it!”
At the auction, Natasha was delighted to hear the auctioneer start bidding at £ 20, the amount she spent on ceramics.

Natasha and Steven continued to sit in awe as the stakes continued to rise with a stunned Natasha asking, “Are you serious?”
The lawyers eventually sold for £ 80, four times the price Natasha paid.
Natasha won the episode with a total of £ 252.10, while Stephen managed just £ 209.96.
Antiques Road Trip airs on BBC One weekdays at 4.30 p.m.
