The regular meeting of the County Commissioners Council was opened by President William J Novotny, III at 9:00 am on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Commissioners Linda Greenough and Robert Perry, Assistant Commissioner Ashlea Bassett, Deputy County Attorney Barry were present. Crago, County Attorney Tucker Ruby, Evaluator Deb Robinson and County Clerk Vicki Edelman.
Perry moved to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of August 17, 2021. Greenough supported; motion carried.
Greenough has proposed to approve the one-day dining permit at Taylor’s Invasion Bar for the Ballek / McTaggert wedding reception on September 18, 2021 at JC Fairgrounds. Perry pressed; motion carried.
County District Attorney Tucker Ruby met with commissioners to discuss rules and regulations for body art. County health officer Dr Schueler has called for regulations to be written to establish the safe and hygienic practice of body art. The commissioners will revise the document and these rules will be put back on the agenda of the next regular meeting.
After discussion with Commissioner Perry and Deputy County Attorney Barry Crago, Perry offered to send a notice to all tenants in the T-hangar to let them know that their current leases will end on December 31, 2021; and new leases will be sent with an effective date of January 1, 2022 and a 3% increase in the lease for the year 2022 and an additional 2% increase for the year 2023. Greenough supported; motion carried. The county attorney’s office will contact all tenants with a letter and a new lease agreement.
Greenough proposed to approve tax cut # 3095 for Sofia C Larocca for the 2021 tax year in the amount of $ 10,684.05. Perry pressed; motion carried.
Perry proposed to approve tax revocation # 3095 for Cody and Ellen Koch for the 2020 tax year in the amount of $ 128.39. Greenough supported; motion carried.
Greenough proposed to approve the WYDOT Certificate of Acceptance for the Hazelton Road project. Perry pressed; motion carried.
Greenough proposed to authorize President Novotny to sign the TANF contract between Wy Dept of Family Services and Johnson County Commissioners in the amount of $ 52,000.00 from October 1, 2021 until September 30, 2022. Perry pressed; motion carried.
Perry proposed to approve the August bonds in the amount of $ 882,054.19. Greenough supported; motion carried.
Johnson County resident Lois Huson met with commissioners to discuss her concerns about an employee.
Greenough moved to enter the executive session regarding the dispute at 10:12 a.m. Perry pressed; motion carried.
