Man charged after allegedly robbing Midway Antique Mall
COLUMBIA, MO (KMIZ)
At 9:11 a.m. Sunday, a Boone County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested a suspect who allegedly robbed the Midway Antique Mall on Sunday morning.
A Boone County prosecutor has charged Thomas Kazimir with second-degree burglary, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Department responded to a break-in at the Antiques Mall just at 9:13 a.m. Deputies heard the suspect entered the business at 4:50 a.m. and the suspect could be seen on videotape damaging property and stealing items inside the store. .
A Boone County Sheriff’s Sergeant responded to the area and located Kazimir leaving the Midway Little General on Hwy 40 while matching the suspect’s description, wearing some of the same clothing captured in the video of surveillance.
In a statement, Cpt. Brian Leer says Kazimir was also found in possession of numerous items believed to have been stolen from the Midway Antique Mall, a controlled substance believed to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
