I wanted a tattoo of an ocean wave but what I got seems a total mess

A WOMAN shared what she hoped her ocean wave tattoo would look like while revealing the unfortunate version she got instead.

Chrissy Rae, 19, from California, posted a montage of the beach-inspired body art she’s been waiting for on TikTok.

The 10-second clip shows 5 different images under the caption “What I asked for”.

The sixth image then reveals how the tattoo turned out and fails to come close to the defined lines seen in the previous images.

Chrissy’s tattoo doesn’t pull in the softness of the other versions and looks much lower in color.

Instead of a tidy, swept wave, it looks jagged and looks more like a shark’s fin sticking out of the water than an actual wave.

Chrissy posted the video with the “sad face” emoji, “lol” and three hashtags including #badtattoo.

The sound mix is titled “A Bit Twisted” by Noah Feldman and is a mix of two different versions of Pink’s hit track Just Give Me A Reason, which originally featured Fun’s Nate Ruess.

The song was used as part of a trend in late 2019 where TikTok users would share the visual evolution of an appearance, usually a celebrity.

In this case, Chrissy used the upside-down trend to show a slowdown from how her tattoo was supposed to look before comparing it with the real thing.

The video has been viewed over 1.1 million times and got over 121,000 likes.

Over 145 people commented on her video and many agreed that the result wasn’t great.

One person wrote, ‘Ooh that’s hard’, while another said, ‘looks like a shark fin’.

Another said, “Go get your sis money back”.

One joker commented: ‘CEO to connect the dots’.

It comes as a woman revealed she wanted to get an inspirational message tattooed on her chest, as a constant reminder of her strength.

But it went terribly wrong when the tattoo artist made a major spelling mistake, leaving her permanently scarred by the awkward mistake.

Jennifer McGee, 18, took to TikTok to share what happened to her botched tattoo.

Another woman got a tattoo as a tribute to her mother, but the artist botched it and now no one can understand what he is saying.

Reddit users scratched their heads over the tattoo, which became nearly indecipherable.

And another woman was ridiculed by Reddit after posting a photo of herself tattoo which shows a snake wrapped around a plant from which two flowers come out.

Redditors mercilessly ridiculed the pattern, with some comparing it to fruit peels.
