A GRAN got a red face when she mistakenly tried to encourage her family to buy her VAJAZZLES – leaving her daughter mortified as she thought she was confessing to secretly inflating her bikini line.

Emma Griffiths did a double take when she saw mum Debbie Bicknell apparently state that she “liked” gems to stick during a late-night WhatsApp chat about gifts on October 21.

The administrative assistant had teased Debbie about what she had already bought to store her Christmas stocking and the excited grandson tried to guess, suddenly declaring “I bet these are vajazzles”.

Emma, the mother of a child, was speechless at this apparent confession and things got worse when she asked “why the hell” she would buy them from her own mother, only to be told “because I love them”.

After being asked more about what she meant, the 53-year-old replied “white chocolate with chunks, I love them” – prompting Emma to laugh out loud and breathe a deep sigh of relief. .

The 35-year-old quickly viewed a screenshot of what vajazzles really are, leaving the sweet-toothed Debbie to howl with laughter.

Emma said Debbie “is always wrong” but admitted that this one “is ahead of the pack”.

The ‘Mistress’ of Malapropism antics was shared online with the caption ‘Not sure if I trust my mom to write a Christmas list this year’.

“I remember thinking ‘this is so unusual, why is she admitting it to me?

“So when she explained it was chocolate, I was like ‘wow, you said some things in your day, but this absolutely takes the cookie.”

The full text interchange reads: Debbie: “I’ve been looking to see what you have in your cart from Cherryz.”

“I bet these are my vajazells [sic].

Emma: “Vajazells ?? Why in the name of God would I buy this from you ???”

Debbie: “Because I love them.”

Emma: “WHAT ???”

Debbie: “White chocolate with chunks. These are my favorites. “

Emma: “Oh. My God. You’ve really outdone yourself this time.”

Debbie: “Have I seen them ???”

Emma: “They are called Jazzles. Vajazzles are something TOTALLY different !!!”

Debbie: “Ah.”

Emma said Debbie “is always wrong” but admitted that this one “is ahead of the pack”.

Emma then uploaded a screenshot of the dictionary definition of “vajazzle”.

Emma had settled in bed for the night at 11:30 p.m. when she started chatting with Debbie on WhatsApp about the Christmas presents she had wrapped so far.

After getting a good deal on the Cherryz online store, Emma was playing her cards close to her chest and not revealing what she had bought to her mother.

Desperate to find out before December 25 what she had, Debbie guessed and suddenly said, “I bet these are my vajazzles.”

Stunned, Emma asked her what she meant and eventually found out she meant Jazzles – a white chocolate candy covered in hundreds and thousands.

Emma said: “I was a bit ahead of my Christmas shopping and was looking for stocking fillers out there.

“I wasn’t even looking at candy, she just assumed I was because she has a sweet tooth especially for Jazzles.

“I thought she was confessing intimate body art, but it was just that she was wrong.

“When I realized she was talking about candy and not gems, it was funny. She had no idea what vajazzles were, she really thought that was how candy was made. was calling.

“When I sent him the screenshot [explaining what vajazzles are] she FaceTimed me while eating milk bottle candy and she was choking on them laughing out loud.

“I just shook her head. I went downstairs and told my partner about it and he obviously thought she was talking about vajazzles too.

“He said ‘Well Emma, what your mother does in the privacy of her own home is her own business.’

“I told her they were on TOWIE and if she went to Essex I’m sure she could get one quite easily.

I thought she was confessing intimate body art, but it was just that she was wrong.

“This confusion is pretty big, I think she’s at the top of the list. Obviously I’m going to have to buy her a vajazzle kit for Christmas, she’ll have a good laugh.

“I’ll probably get him some Jazzles too.”

Debbie, from Milford, Surrey said: “I really thought that was what they were called.

“I have never been to a store and had to ask for them thank goodness.

“It was late at night and I was in bed eating sweets, I love my sweets. I just texted her because she put me on this app [Cherryz] and she said ‘I don’t want you to go because I have things in my basket for you for Christmas.

“I thought ‘oh I’m going snooping’ then I texted her and said ‘you got me vajazzles’ and I couldn’t understand why she was coming back with ‘what?’.

“I literally couldn’t understand but when she showed me [what it meaned] i never laughed [like it].

“I put it on FaceTime and almost choked on a bottle of sweet milk because I was laughing so much, because I really didn’t know.

When I realized she was talking about candy and not gems, it was funny. She had no idea what vajazzles were, she really thought that was what candy was called!

“I’ve always loved the Jazzles, but I’ve always thought they were called vajazzles. I’m wrong, it happens to me every day, they despair me.

“When I found out what a vajazzle was, I thought ‘oh my god’, I was horrified. I didn’t think people were doing that.

“I would give anything, I would never say never, but they probably wouldn’t beat my beloved Jazzles, I really love my candies.”

A Cherryz spokesperson said: “We are delighted to hear that Emma and her mom Debbie enjoy shopping on Cherryz so much, and Debbie’s poor pronunciation certainly made us laugh here at Cherryz HQ!

“The Jazzles are one of our best-selling candies, so it’s no surprise that they are on Debbie’s Christmas treat list. We hope she enjoys the“ vajazzles ”once they’ve got them. will arrive! “
