RED BANK, NJ – A driver slammed into an antique clock in Red Bank on Wednesday morning, knocking it over and damaging it, according to the Red Bank Police Department.

The crash caused minor to moderate damage to the clock, but did not completely destroy it, Police Chief Darren McConnel said.

The clock is owned by the owner of the building at 36 Broad Street, where it is located, not the borough.

The driver received a reckless driving summons, McConnel said.

Owner Mike Morgan told Redbankgreen the clock will be restored and in the meantime it will be stored by the borough’s public works department.
