Bored Strictly star Neil Jones practiced tattooing during lockdown
Strictly Come Dancing star Neil Jones has revealed he got a tattoo during the lockdown … and spent £ 800 on a steak dinner already.
The popular dancer is best known for strutting around on the hit BBC One show.
But away from the ballroom floor, the 39-year-old TV star embraced his hidden talent as a man in ink.
Neil has a series of tattoos on his body, and with time on his hands ahead of the new Strictly series this summer, the red-haired dancer has enjoyed getting creative with his body art.
“I love to draw and have always designed my own tattoos, then during confinement I started learning to tattoo,” Neil revealed.
“I trained on my own skin because I got the machine as a birthday present.
“I started with a smiley face, then started an A4 piece on my left leg, but I haven’t finished yet.”
The respected dance choreographer added in an interview with OK! : “I have told a few of my friends if they are happy to get a tattoo, then I will try on them, and even Gorka [Márquez] joked that I could tattoo it!
Neil’s nicknames include Ginge or Ginger – and the dancer is more than happy to kiss her flaming hair color.
So much so that his next dance tour is aptly called Gingerland and his podcast, which he co-hosts with Michael Danilczuk and Craig Shaw, is called Tall, Blonde and Ginger.
But Neil admits he found the lockdown difficult and even cried when the second wave of the pandemic finally began to ease.
When asked when he last cried, the TV personality admitted, “During the lockdown. The most recent was the hardest. I think I cried with happiness when things started up again. to open.
He also revealed that he had already spent £ 800 on an extravagant steak dinner while working in Hong Kong.
“I went to this amazing steakhouse there and the tomahawk steak was £ 800,” Neil revealed.
“It was so good! I went back with some of my students years later and bought them the steak because they paid me to teach them how to dance.
Neil was married to fellow Strictly dancer Katya Jones, but the couple broke up after being publicly humiliated after a photo showed them kissing comedian candidate Seann Walsh.
And just yesterday, it was revealed that Neil has moved on with Mexican model Kelly Lopez.
He is said to have bonded with the stunning star after his bitter breakup with ex-girlfriend Luisa Euisse after rumors circulated that she had been unfaithful.
A source told The Sun the couple enjoyed instant connection and exchanged numbers in an effort to keep in touch after the spark theft.
“Neil and Kelly had instant chemistry and traded their numbers after the video was shot,” the insider said.
“He took her to a dinner party and spent the whole day in a lagoon together.
“They met a few more times towards the end of Neil’s trip and vowed to keep in touch.”
