American pickers travel to WA to find antique collectors

Have you ever caught yourself watching shows like Antiques Roadshow and wondering what your collectibles would fetch? Well, there’s good news, as American Pickers could return to the Tri-Cities.

While they probably aren’t interested in those baby beanies you knew would skyrocket in value, they might want to take a look at that collection of antique toy trains or vintage clown memorabilia that your great-aunt left you. There’s a chance it could contain something really special, and gatherers are famous for spotting valuable items and ultra-rare collectibles.

The reality show recently reached out to the Tri-City Herald to help locals know they’ll be returning to Washington in October and are looking for advice on finding unique collections.

The History Channel production is looking for collectors all over Washington to see what they’ve found or dragged in boxes from the attic.

“The Pickers have seen a lot of rusty gold over the years and are always looking to uncover something they haven’t seen before,” a press release said. “They are ready to find extraordinary objects and hear fascinating stories about them.”

Anyone interested or who knows someone who has a collection that might fit the bill can email [email protected] or call 646-493-2184.

They will need a name, phone number, location, description of the collection, and photos to be considered. If the collection is selected, American Pickers could come and spend a day contemplating your treasures.

American Pickers will only consider private collections. Shops, museums or anything open to the public will not be considered.
