A PAIR of famous ballroom brothers who took to Inverclyde this summer are now set to put the region in the spotlight tonight with viewers across the country.

The Celebrity Antiques Roadtrip crew, including famous brothers AJ and Curtis Pritchard, were traveling across Scotland to film an episode of the popular BBC program and the program saw them go by in Gourock.

While AJ was shopping elsewhere, Curtis – known for his role as a professional dancer in the Irish version of Dancing with the Stars – went for a swim at Gourock Pool.

Accompanied by antiques expert Serhat Ahmet, the dancer, who also starred in the Love Island dating series, soaked up local sights and met enthusiastic fans along the waterfront.

He is full of praise for the city and its magnificent landscapes.

The 25-year-old told the TV: “I really like Scotland and Gourock is wonderful.

“It was nice to stop by the pool and go for a swim.

“You have an amazing view here.”

The celebrity version of the show sees antiques experts accompany celebrities on a road trip across the UK in search of treasure and competing to make the most money at auctions.

Curtis was paired with Serhat, who has over 25 years of antiques experience and has his own boutique in London.

In their quest for freebies, the team – which also included expert Irita Marriott – also stopped by Narducci’s Antiques in Largs in the classic Rolls Royce they were using for the occasion.

Serhat added: “Scotland was very welcoming and stopping at Gourock outdoor pool was a real highlight of the trip.

“Everyone was very friendly and welcoming to us, it was a great place to stop on our trip.”

The episode will air on BBC Two tonight at 7 p.m. ET.
